Pune to Pune.. via Hadashi (2009)

Pune to Hadashi MapTrip Period: 4th July 2009
Approx Distance (To and From): 120 Kms
    Motor-bike: Bajaj Pulsar 180cc
Friend in the trip: Anirudha Lungare
Trip Route: Katraj (Pune) > Chandani Chowk (Bavdhan) > Pirangut > Poud > Hadshi > Poud > Pirangut > Katraj

4th July, ‘US Independence day’ – a holiday for someone like me who works with MNC. It was a perfect monsoon morning. I ranged Anirudha – my colleague at KPIT-Cummins Infotech – and asked him to be ready for the bike ride.

Initially, we haven’t thought about any place as such. But it’s obvious for Punekars to run towards Mulashi when it’s raining. We did the same 🙂

We had must needed Cutting Chai at Chandani Chowk near Bavdhan. Pune to Mulashi road, though it’s narrow, is clear and surrounded with greenery. You will hardly find any traffic except near Bhugaon and Pirangut. We tried to make the journey of 50 kms more lengthy by stopping frequently.

    Hadashi Temple (Pune)

Hadashi Vitthal Temple – is one of the cleanest temple and best spot for monsoon outings. Situated among the hills of Sahyadri, this place is picture-perfect without any disturbance of buildings, cables, towers in the background. The best part is that it is not crowded. The wet atmosphere was adding a glow to the area. Ohh.. we felt relaxed!

The temple area is well-managed and maintained. All over greenery, sitting arrangements, ample of parking, clean restaurant, toilets..all is just best in class. It reminded me ‘Balaji Temple’ in Pittsburgh (USA). Same class of cleanness and hygiene.

We had garama garam poha and Kanda-bhaji. With satisfied stomachs, we spent around an hour in the meditation hall below the temple. Shri Satya Sai Baba inaugurated the place in 2009. This 300 acres property is decorated with well-done landscapes, fountains, and temples.

We left the place with happy minds and reached back in the evening. Yes. Small but sweet trip.. perfect antidote to stress and busy life schedule 🙂

    Information:

To reach Hadshi there are two routes one is from Chandani Chowk to Pirangut to Paud to Hadshi & other is from old Pune-Mumbai road, you have to come to Pawana dam road then near Pawana dam take a left turn to reach Hadshi.
