Dharamsala Cricket Stadium.. awesome, stunning.. any world will fall short in describing the most beautiful ground of India.
Dharamsala Cricket stadium’s official name is “Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium”. Located at 1457 m above sea level, surrounded by snow-capped Himalayan mountain ranges.. wow.. best place to play the gentlemen’s game, the Cricket! Adelaide Oval or Newlands, Dharamsala stadium is more picturatus and breathtaking.
The home of Himachal Pradesh cricket team, the stadium have capacity of 23,000 seats. The first ODI was conducted here between India and England in January 2013 but the real coverage was brought to the place by IPL – 2010. It shown it’s capability of hosting big avenues. It is also a Center of excellence for Asian Cricket Council.
The stadium is easily accessible from the town of Dharamsala. I do recommend the visit to the place for it’s beautiful small stands and amazing maintenance. One can see an panoramic view of Dharmsala town and mighty Dhauladhar range of Himalaya from the stadium. While coming back from McLeod Ganj to Dharmsala, you can see the stadium in it’s totality. Trip or picnic to Dharamsala is incomplete without this unique cricket ground.
