    Kamar Ali Dargah History:

    The Kamar Ali Dargah is dedicated to the revered Sufi saint, Hazrat Kamar Ali Darvesh, who is believed to have lived during the 13th century. Qawwalis and Sufi music performances are common during these celebrations, creating an ambience of spiritual joy.

    One of the unique rituals observed at the Kamar Ali Dargah is the offering of wooden crutches, known as ‘Kamar‘ in the local language. Devotees believe that by presenting these crutches, they seek the saint’s intervention for healing physical ailments. It is believed that individuals who have faced challenges in walking or mobility have experienced miraculous recoveries after making such offerings.

    Many devotees tie holy strings on the windows of the shrine (mannat ka dhaga) with a request to fulfil their wishes. Since the saint was not married, ladies are not allowed inside the main shrine.

    The main attraction of the Dargah is the round ball-like big stone. It is believed that 11 people can lift the stone with their index fingers if picked together with belief in the Saint.
