Matrikas are eight Mother Goddesses of War, Children and Emancipation. They include Varahi, Brahmani, Vaishnavi, Indrani, Maheshwari, Kaumari, Chamunda & Narasimhi.
Ornamented temple walls of Aundha Nagnath temple are protected by Matrikas. Carved along with niche temple makaras, small idols of matrikas are attractive and well detailed.
